I Joe Stray nascono dall’ unione e dalla passione dei componenti della band per tre diversi generi: il swing, il jazz e la musica popolare.
Queste diverse inclinazioni musicali portano la band a creare un repertorio vario e accattivante dove i brani vengono riproposti in chiave gipsy manouche.
Sonorità variegate trovano un punto d’incontro nel ritmo incalzante tipico della musica gitana, quella pulsazione che difficilmente tiene gli spettatori ancorati alle proprie sedie.
